Metal Detecting Club (Masala)

MyHobby Metal Detecting Club for 5th to 8th Graders in Kirkkonummi.

Meetings on Mondays from August 28th to September 18th, 2023, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Masala Library, Mesta. 

Note: The language of instruction for the club is Finnish. However, the club is also suitable for those who speak Finnish as a second language (supportive languages: English, German, Swedish).

We will have a total of 4 meetings, and the club can accommodate 10 participants. Snacks will be provided for the participants. During the club, we will familiarize ourselves with the rules of metal detecting, play Kahoot games, practice using metal detectors, dig up findings from the ground, bag and examine the discoveries. The club has metal detecting equipment available. Each participant will be provided with gloves, Minigrip bags, and small shovels. You may also bring your own equipment at your own responsibility. Participants will be covered by accident insurance provided by the organizer. The club is part of Finland's model for hobby activities and is, therefore, free of charge. The instructor for the club is Petra Vairimaa from Evenio.
